Description

On Episode 2 of "MMA Rewind", hosted by MMA commentator, regulator, and historian Sean Wheelock, Bellator 13 is discussed. Sean is joined by "The Baddest Man on the Planet" Joe Warren, who made his US MMA debut at Bellator 13, and who went on to win Bellator titles at both Bantamweight and Featherweight; and by Sam Caplan, who served as the Bellator matchmaker for almost five years.

Bellator 13 took place 10 years ago (April 8, 2010) in Hollywood, Florida, and was the first Bellator event to be broadcast nationally on FOX Sports Net. It was also the Bellator commentary debut for Sean and Jimmy Smith, who had previously broadcast together together for two years M1 Global and for both Afflcition events.

Often mis-remembered as the inaugural Bellator event because of it was the promotion's first live nationwide broadcast with English language commentary, Bellator 13 featured Warren, as well as future ADCC medalist Vagner Rocha, and Roger Huerta, who had joined the promotion after a highly publicized 8 fight run in the UFC.
