Sharjah look to be the team to beat this season, could they produce another big perforamance. Could they stay on course for their first leage title since 2019. Al Jazira 1 - 3 Al Ain
There was a lot riding on Al Jazira v Al Ain, a defeat for either would almost certainly end their hopes of competing for the league title. Who else but that man Kodjo Laba to the rescue for Al Ain. A second half hattrick turns defeat into a big victory. The Togolese has bagged 14 goals already this season.

Shabab Al-Ahli 3 - 0 Al Wasl
This game was a repeat of the recent Super Cup match, Shabab AlAhli won that game on penalties, could Al Wasl take revenge in the league, last seasons Champions badly need a win. It's a commanding display from Shabab AlAhli, Ezotolahi's late diving header was the cherry on top. What a week it's been for Paulo Sousa's team.

2024 ends with Sharjah top of the table, largly thanks to their impressive defecne solidity. They're 4 points clear of Shabab AlAhli but they have played a game more. Al Nasr are still in the mix in 3rd. Al Ain in 5th will also still fancy their chances to compete, they do have a game in hand.
