Wrestling Revolver - Whatashow HOT TAKE
Everything is bigger in Texas, the Lone Star State, or so they say. In some cases, it's true. In other cases, it's just hyperbole, but in the case of Wrestling Revolver, the truth is certainly greater than any piece of hype.
Since its formation, Sami Callihan's twisted and gritty presentation of professional wrestling has risen, fight by fight and event by event into independent wrestling's most grandiose, celebrated and unique spectacle.
This Saturday February 17th, Wrestling Revolver and TrillerTV+ will once again collaborate to bring the best in combat sports to fans across the globe. Perfectly titled, "Whatashow" will present professional wrestling's greatest talents from all intersections of the sport as they collide inside the squared circle to prove their dominance, live from Grand Prairie, Texas!
FIRST-TIME EVER DREAM MATCH!
One of the most talked about main events for this Saturday will be a truly unique first-time ever attraction as Speedball Mike Bailey, who has literally built his name as a competitor with an incredible series of performances over the last several years. Bailey has built an incredible winning streak as well as having built an aura of excellence in the United States, Japan, Canada and beyond.
This Saturday, Bailey will battle Elijah, a fierce competitor who has blazed his own unique trail around the world under his former ring name Elias. During his time in WWE and NXT, the former Drifter has decimated foes inside the ring and smashed them over the head with his ever-present guitar. Having exited WWE, Elijah now seeks to forge a new destiny with Revolver his first destination point. In this new realm, Elijah will have to leave it all inside the ring and against Bailey, he's diving into the deepest end of the pool, pushing himself in an attempt to sharpen steel against steel.
Bailey brings forth a karate-infused series of offensive maneuvers that are only outmatched by his precision aerial assaults. Elijah has mixed a strong brawling style with his colorful taunts and brash attitude. For him, victory is everything as he seeks to throw down the gauntlet and let the entire professional wrestling world know that he is a fighter to be reckoned with. For Bailey, this victory is about defending his turf from an interloper seeking to intrude on everything he has built for himself over the last several years.
When these men collide inside the ring in Texas this Saturday live before TrillerTV+ subscribers around the world, it is exactly the definition of what Wrestling Revolver is meant to be: the nexus where anything and everything in professional wrestling can happen - all for the good of the fans who live vicariously through their favorite competitors.
TAG TEAM EXCELLENCE!
A tag team attraction slated for this Saturday on WhataShow will feature similar dream match qualities as four of the most athletically gifted competitors anywhere in the world seek to shatter the glass ceiling and gravity alike when lucha libre stars extraordinaire Arez and Gringo Loco join up to face the onslaught of The Rascalz, Trey Miguel and Zach Wentz.
Loco has become one of the most versatile luchadors in the world, carving out stardom with his own unique style while Arez, the pride of Mexico City, has captured the imagination of fans across the globe with his exploits in Lucha Libre AAA and beyond, including capturing La Leyenda Azul Blue Demon Championship. This lucha combination would be devastating against almost anyone, but The Rascalz are not your average combination. Trey and Zach, since reuniting, have become on the best tandems anywhere in professional wrestling, with lethal double-team maneuvers and a hunger to take out the competition with their high-flying, innovative offensive attacks.
This bout will be a must-see attraction for action junkies, who live to see combat sports stars take to the skies in an attempt to take out their adversaries and who want to see stellar athletes test themselves to see who the better team truly is. Wrestling Revolver takes all tropes and breaks them apart, shattering the chains that might prevent talents from competing at the most spectacular, stellar level. History and memories will be made this Saturday in the Lone Star State.
STARS COLLIDE FOR THE FIRST TIME!
While Lio Rush and Chris Bey have faced off in New Japan Pro Wrestling's tag team division, this Saturday, Wrestling Revolver fans will see them square off for the first time in full, unbridled singles competition.
Hot off the release of his latest music video, Lio Rush is seeking to once again prove himself as the ultimate athletic competitor, having bested top opponents in WWE, TNA, CZW, MLW and New Japan Pro Wrestling. From a pure professional wrestling standpoint, Rush has untapped potential and athletically, may be one of the best professional wrestling machines anywhere in the world. Rush's self-confidence is only topped by how perfectly timed his high-flying offense inside the squared circle. Seeking to kickstart his latest chapter in Revolver, Rush needs the win to start his ascent towards the Revolver Championship.
While Chris Bey has spent a good part of his recent career as one half of TNA Tag Team Champions ABC, his singles performances inside the ring were what first captured the attention of the professional wrestling world. Bey's return to singles Revolver competition is his chance to let it all hang out and remind the world why he is the Ultimate Finesser. In Rush, Bey may have found his doppelganger in terms of someone who athletically can match his aerial prowess. To capture the win, Bey will have to out-think and out-fence Rush and show the world that he's the next threat to the Revolver Championship held by Alex Shelley!
This first time battle will reverberate across all corners of Wrestling Revolver. Who emerges victorious will be revealed live this weekend on TrillerTV+!
CHAMPIONSHIPS ON THE LINE!
The reigning and defending Wrestling Revolver World Champion Alex Shelley will step into the ring this Saturday facing three prime competitors. The wrestling wizard will bring all of his technical excellence to the center of the ring, battling Alan Angels, Exodus Prime and JD Griffey with Revolver's most important title on the line. Angels alone is a fierce battle-tested competitor with TNA and AEW victories aplenty under his belt. A championship win here would be Angels' definitive moment, ascending to the next level and of all the contenders, he has to be seen as the favorite.
Meanwhile, rapper and competitor Exodus Prime proudly touts he loves to use The Contra Code for the win, but this battle will be the hardest of his entire career. The Dallas star is in his home element and "The Final Boss" is not entering this championship match with any intention of losing, but no matter what, a strong showing could elevate him into future main event propositions. This is truly the biggest singles match of his career.
The same can be said, however, for "Flawless" JD Griffey. A Dallas native as well, Griffey has mixed a traditional professional wrestling style with a number of martial arts disciplines, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay-Thai, creating a lethal multi-pronged attack that many adversaries faltered against. While he has taken the likes of Speedball Mike Bailey and Ace Austin to the limit in the past, a championship win here would elevate from being seen as one of the best in Texas to one of the best in the world.
Alex Shelley is considered one of the best chess players in professional wrestling, out-thinking and out-wrestling the opposition, but can he do that against three tremendous competitors at the same time? If he can, Shelley will need to be in the zone against some of the most lethal competitors of his entire career.
This Saturday as well, the new reigning and defending Revolver World Tag Team Champions The Grizzled Young Veterans will face their first championship challenge, battling the awesome might of Monstersauce, Lance Archer and Alex Zayne. James Drake and Zack Gibson march into battle with all the confidence in the world, having captured championships across the world as one of the biggest antagonist tag teams of this era but in Archer and Zayne, they have their work cut out for them.
Archer is one of the most fierce and ferocious monsters inside the squared circle, massacring hapless victims in AEW, New Japan Pro Wrestling and all points in between. A fearsome combatant in his own right, Archer accentuates his powerful, concussive force by combining his might with Zayn's high-impact and innovative high-flying arsenal.
With two very different but dangerous styles, Monstersauce is able to shock and awe nearly everyone they battle, but The Grizzled Young Veterans have mastered the art of tag team wrestling and have the belts to prove it - This Saturday will show whether they can master the challenge of holding onto the gold against two truly incredible combat sports artists with nothing to lose, everything to gain and a path of destruction left in their wake!
A SPECIAL CHALLENGE!
Mansoor was at one point considered one of the true rising stars by WWE's international fan base, shocking Claudio Castagnoli by defeating him in Saudi Arabia, a moment that was considered at the time to be true prelude to his super stardom. As life often does, it took a harsh left turn and for whatever reason, the opportunities shifted away from Mansoor. He united with Mace to form Maximum Male Models, but now freed from his contractual obligations with WWE, Mansoor has made his way to Wrestling Revolver, ready to show the international wrestling world that he's about to make a true impact inside the squared circle.
Mansoor's first true Revolver test will come this Saturday when he opposes The Bounty Hunter, Bryan Keith. AEW's latest signing, The Bounty Hunter built his reputation battling the best in The Lone Star State and will have the home ground advantage at WhatAShow and is seeking to take down Mansoor, effectively turning away the challenge.
For Keith, this battle is about enforcing his will and showing the world he's as fearsome as ever. For Mansoor, Saturday evening is about grabbing the destiny that once seemed foretold and making it his once more. Two very different, very talented denizens of the squared circle will battle in this very special challenge, live for TrillerTV+ subscribers this Saturday evening!
FEARSOME COMBAT AHEAD!
Two of the most dangerous women in all of professional wrestling will step into battle with each l other at Revolver's Whatashow this Saturday in Texas as well as the Russian Dynamo, Masha Slamovich will combat Malta's most fearsome fighter, Marina Shafir.
Shafir, one of MMA's Four Horsewomen, has been nothing short of brutal to her opposition since shifting into professional wrestling, making opponents in WWE NXT and AEW fall to her striking and grappling excellence. In Masha, however. Shafir will be battling a world-traveled veteran who has fought in some of the most intense fights in The United States and Japan alike while rising to prominence and championship gold.
While their history may be very different, these two combat sports all-stars are very much united by one factor, their drive to be the best and to vanquish all opposition standing in front of them. To decimate the other, each will push themselves to the breaking point, waiting to see when the other submits and is humiliated by a very public loss. With two fighters as strong as Masha and Marina, however, the idea of either faltering seems like science-fiction, but a very harsh reality will set in this Saturday before TrillerTV+ viewers across the globe.
This Saturday will also see Jake Something step into battle with Brick Savage while The Monster Hunter Matthew Palmer will do battle against Vert Vixen, plus who knows what dark plans lurk in the heart of Sami Callihan, much less the other competitors, known and unknown, who may step into the ring to add to the eternal chaos that is Wrestling Revolver!
This Saturday, TrillerTV and Wrestling Revolver combine like Voltron to present the most futuristic combat sports presentation known on Planet Earth, raising the bar and shattering all expectations yet again. No matter where your TrillerTV device is, you are ringside for Wrestling Revolver's Whatashow!
