Weekly Pro Wrestling Rankings August 2

1. Roman Reigns

While he remains a divisive personality to WWE fans, Reigns is the major factor driving the WWE bus to Summerslam. This week, he had a spirited back and forth segment with Paul Heyman to build towards his WWE Universal Championship match against Brock Lesnar and with Lesnar hardly appearing and not doing much when he does, Reigns has been left to his own devices in building to that main event attraction. With his work in basically willing a main event into existence and another series of top flight performances on WWE Raw live events over the weekend, Reigns retains the top spot in the FITE rankings.

2. AJ Styles

The WWE Champion continued to be successful in his quest to showcase himself as the best wrestler in the world. This week, the Phenomenal One continued his run of excellent main event matches on WWE Live events, previewing his Summerslam bout against Samoa Joe as well as a victory against Shinsuke Nakamura following Tuesday's Smackdown Live broadcast. Styles continues to leave audiences spellbound and that's not going to change anytime soon.

3.Samoa Joe

With his WWE Championship match against AJ Styles set for Summerslam, Samoa Joe headlined several WWE live events and delivered an incredible interview on Smackdown Live this week. All signs are that the Samoan Submission Machine is ready and able to deliver in what is undoubtedly the biggest match of his life. Joe has always had the reputation for delivering in big fight situations and there's never been a bigger fight in his life. Expect continued greatness as the countdown to Brooklyn continues, potentially anticipating Joe making history as the first man to hold the WWE, Impact and ROH Championships.

4. Charlotte Flair

This past Tuesday on Smackdown Live, Charlotte Flair not only returned from time off due to health concerns, but made an immediate, massive impact on the Summerslam card. Returning unadvertised, Charlotte scored a non-title win over Smackdown Women's Champion Carmella. In doing so, she was added to Carmella's already announced title defense against Becky Lynch. By jumping back into the deep end of the pool and creating massive waves, Flair re-emerges on the FITE Rankings in a major way.

5. Matt Riddl

With continued interest in Riddle potentially signing with World Wrestling Entertainment, the former UFC Champion steps into battle this weekend with two big matches at EVOLVE 108 and 109. On Saturday, Riddle steps into a Hardcore battle against Shane Strickland. The next day, Riddle goes against FIP Champion Austin Theory. Could Riddle lose the title? Is he going to continue on as champion as the countdown to the end of his run on the independent scene appears to be coming to an end? The King of Bros has always marched to the beat of his own drum, but as the wrestling world focuses their attention upon his potential future, Riddle has an incredible opportunity to excel before an audience becoming increasingly invested in his work.

6. Seth Rollins

Stop us if you've heard this before. Seth Rollins continues to excel as a one man highlight reel for Monday Night Raw. This week, Rollins headlined WWE live events and on Raw, was involved in a physical fracas with Drew McIntyre designed to set up continued issues with Dolph Ziggler before their Summerslam showdown for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Rollins is the measuring stick for in-ring performances right now and will surely return to the upper echelon of the FITE Rankings soon enough.

7. Randy Orton

Since returning to WWE's Smackdown brand following knee surgery, Randy Orton has shown a reborn interest in performing. His attacks on Jeff Hardy and his interviews have been some of his most inspired work in years. With Summerslam just a few weeks away, Orton has been reborn, showing all the characteristics of the Legend Killer that has headlined for years, only more refined and far more motivated, all of which has brought vibrant interest to the master of the RKO.

8. Drew Mcinytyre

Another week, another intense outing for the Scottish star. The former ICW, EVOLVE and Impact Champion took the fight to Seth Rollins this week in an extremely physical battle on Monday Night Raw. McIntyre is the perfect study for someone looking to master the art of being a true antagonist in pro wrestling. Every step, every glance, every maneuver is maximized to capture the attention of the audience. McIntyre continues to excel and stand out against the WWE roster.
